Job Description

This is for a Dubai-headquartered events, conference, and experiential IP company seeking a versatile SEO, AEO & Web Technology Specialist to own our entire digital discovery and web presence. This is a hands-on, one-stop role for someone who can blend search engine optimisation with the emerging discipline of Answer Engine Optimisation — ensuring our brands are found on Google and cited by AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. You will also bring a strong web development understanding to implement technical changes directly, not just recommend them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • SEO Strategy & Execution – Develop and execute end-to-end SEO strategies, including technical SEO audits, on-page optimisation, keyword research, link-building, and content planning for all company websites and event microsites.
  • Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) – Structure content, implement schema markup (JSON-LD, FAQ, Event, Organisation), and optimise for AI-generated answers so our brands and events are cited by LLM-powered search engines and assistants.
  • Technical Web Development – Work hands-on with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (WordPress,Webflow, or headless CMS). Implement server-side rendering (Next.js or equivalent) for SEO-friendly page delivery. Optimise Core Web Vitals and page speed.
  • Content Optimisation – Collaborate with marketing to create E-E-A-T-aligned content that ranks in traditional search and surfaces in AI overviews. Write meta tags, structured data, and semantic HTML.
  • Analytics & Reporting – Set up and manage Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and rank-tracking tools.
  • Deliver monthly performance dashboards with actionable insights.
  • Event & Conference Digital Support – Build and optimise landing pages, registration flows, and microsites for each event IP. Ensure all digital assets are discoverable and conversion-optimised.
  • AI & Automation – Leverage AI tools and APIs (ChatGPT, Claude, automation platforms) to streamline content production, reporting, and technical workflows.
  • Digital Marketing Support – Assist with paid search (Google Ads), social media integration, email marketing tech setup, and conversion tracking where needed.
  • Competitive Intelligence – Monitor competitor SEO/AEO strategies, industry trends, and algorithm updates.
  • Proactively adapt our approach.

QUALIFICATION

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in SEO with demonstrable results (traffic growth, ranking improvements, featured snippet wins).
  • Strong understanding of AEO principles – structured data, schema.org, E-E-A-T, content structuring for AI citation, and knowledge-panel optimisation.
  • Web development proficiency – HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+). Comfortable reading and writing code, not just
    using visual editors.
  • Experience with at least one modern framework or SSR solution (Next.js, Nuxt.js, Gatsby, or similar) and
    understanding of how rendering impacts SEO.
  • Proficiency with CMS platforms – WordPress (including theme/plugin customisation), Webflow, or headless CMS
    (Strapi, Contentful, Sanity).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and at least one
    rank-tracking tool (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz).
  • Familiarity with Core Web Vitals, page speed optimisation, CDN configuration, and crawl-budget management.
  • Experience with Google Ads (Search/Display), basic social media ad platforms, and conversion tracking setup.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent
    practical experience).

QUALIFICATION

  • Experience in events, conferences, MICE, or the hospitality industry.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating AI APIs into workflows.
  • Understanding of headless architecture, JAMstack, and API-first development.
  • Experience with internationalisation (i18n) and multilingual SEO (English/Arabic is a plus).
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign).
  • Portfolio or case studies demonstrating AEO success (brand mentions in AI-generated answers).
