Job Description:

As a Sales Manager for a freight and forwarding company in Dubai, your primary responsibility is to oversee the sales activities of the company and to manage a team of sales representatives. 

Job Responsibility:

  1. Developing and implementing sales strategies: You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. This will involve analyzing market trends and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  2. Building and managing a sales team: You will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of sales representatives. This will involve setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and support to help team members achieve their goals.
  3. Creating sales plans and forecasts: You will be responsible for creating sales plans and forecasts that outline the sales targets for the company. This will involve analyzing market data, identifying potential customers, and developing strategies to reach them.
  4. Maintaining customer relationships: You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers. This will involve regular communication, responding to inquiries and concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  5. Collaborating with other departments: You will need to collaborate with other departments within the company, such as operations and finance, to ensure that sales activities are aligned with overall business objectives.
  6. Reporting on sales activities: You will need to prepare regular reports on sales activities, including sales forecasts, sales pipeline, and sales performance. This will involve analyzing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements.
  7. Staying up-to-date with industry trends: You will need to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in the freight and forwarding sector. This will involve attending conferences and trade shows, reading industry publications, and networking with industry experts.
  8. Pro-actively search, qualify, develop and engage into new customer relationships. Overall, as a Sales Manager for a freight and forwarding company in Dubai, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and ensuring that the company achieves its business objectives.


  1. Proven 10+ years Sales Management experience within the Shipping and Logistics industry in UAE
  2. Has strong knowledge of Container/ Shipping lines/ freight forwarding / NVOCC / logistics
  3. Has an existing list of potential clients
  4. Has strong knowledge about the local market, competitor and industry trends.
  5. Demonstrated results – performance, leadership and organizational wise.
  6. Coaches extensively with his/her team. Supports individual sales people in target accounts.
  7. Leverages internal and external relationships to expand business opportunities.
  8. Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or any similar field.
  9. Sales revenue driven. Aggressive leadership skills to achieve sales team targets
  10. Has the ability to integrate well into teams & work towards achieving team sales results.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and shipping management software systems.
  12. Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  13. English speaking is a must, Arabic is a plus.
  14. Strong media, presentation and computer skills.
